Cricket Association for the Blind in Kerala)
CABK (Cricket Association for the Blind in Kerala) stands as a distinguished thread in the tapestry of sporting organizations, woven with dedication and commitment. Registered under the Indian Societies Act on 28 December 2012, we proudly affiliate with Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) and the World Blind Cricket Council, upholding a commitment to excellence. Beyond cricket, CABK is a beacon of hope and empowerment, believing that blind cricket offers holistic development for visually impaired individuals. Our mission is to uplift individuals, celebrating their resilience through cricket. Join us in championing inclusivity, dignity, and relentless pursuit of excellence on this extraordinary journey. The association stands as a catalyst for profound transformation in the lives of its members, an institution whose impact extends far beyond the cricket field. Approximately 500 individuals have been touched by its guiding influence, experiencing a metamorphosis in their social standing and career trajectories. Through their association with this venerable institution, many have ascended to a higher social echelon, finding their identity as players celebrated above their visual impairments. Their achievements have transcended the boundaries of mere sport; they have earned respect and admiration for their exceptional abilities. In times of adversity, such as the trials brought by the COVID-19 pandemic and devastating floods, the association’s unwavering support provided not just financial stability, but a lifeline of hope. It ensured that its members weathered these storms with dignity and resilience.
